What’s the Key for a Great Harness for Camera?
There’s no point in beating around the bush about the key for a great harness for camera. I’m just going to lay it out on the table. I’m going to tell you right now and I’m not going to wait any longer. Seriously. It’s going to happen. I am going to tell you the key for a great harness for camera option. (Are you sick of all this dodging of the point? Me too.)
SO here it is: the key for a great harness for camera is all in the back of the harness. Now, there are typically two options to go with in the industry. First, yo ucould have the two straps that meet in the back be connected with leather patches. The other option would be a plastic or metal ring that holds the two straps in place. Which do you think would be better?
BZZZZZZZ. Time’s up. I’ll tell you which is better. Contrary to common misconception, the ring is by far and away the key to a great harness for camera, especially for camera harness hiking abilities. Why? Because it actually allows for so many more options. A ring in the back of the harness lets the straps transfer from being put on two shoulders to one and vice versa. This means the harness in question can be used as a harness over two shoulders, a single shoulder solution or even a regular neck strap. Genius! The leather patch looks nice and is fairly common to see; however, it’s not nearly as great for adjusting the straps for an SLR camera which is why the ring is indeed the key for a great harness for camera.
