Camera Strap Harness: One Shoulder or Two?
The question on everyone’s lips regarding their next camera strap harness is whether or not they should try to find one with one strap or two. Originally, there used to only be the one option which was the singular generic neck strap that went around the neck. BLA!
That is no longer the only choice because people realized how impractical that option is! It’s dangerous for the equipment and harmful for the neck. So, that brings us to this day and age in which you will have to ask yourself if one strap around the shoulder or two straps around the shoulder are what you think is best?
So what’s the verdict?
The benefits of a camera strap harness that has two straps over the shoulders is that there is definitely not any pain around your neck. Also, you know your equipment is safe and secure with a camera strap harness that has two straps.
This seems like the clear choice… and yet…
The fact of the matter is that the singular camera strap harness is really good to use as a camera hiking harness. It’s flexible, also doesn’t strain the neck and can be worn without blocking the chest. It really makes you think, doesn’t it? Which one is better?
Ok, ok, we’ll end the suspense. So which is better, the single camera strap harness or the double camera strap harness? Drum roll please….
BOTH! You can actually get harnesses that adjust to fit one or both shoulders! Don’t take our word for it, check it out right here. Make sure to get a harness with a ring on the back instead of a leather patch and you will not believe how wonderful it is to have both choices at your disposal.
