Some people when they get their new camera choose to not use camera neck straps. There is certainly a time and a place that everyone should use them. There are also certainly other occasions in which they may not be necessary or appropriate. Regardless, it’s a good idea to have a camera shoulder harness on hand for the many occasions in which one is necessary. So what are the reasons to use devices such as these?

Have many photos have you missed because your camera was even just a few feet away from you!? That can’t be risked! Another reason to use camera neck straps is that they are easy to use anywhere you go. You could wear them out in the dessert. You could wear them out  in the mountains. They could be taken on a boat, to a public arena or just about anywhere else you could think of. The usability of various types of neck straps for cameras is incredible and that is indeed a good reason to go ahead and use them.
