Camera Harness Hiking Pros and Cons
Taking a camera harness hiking is a pretty great thing to do. The problem, though, is that like with everything there are pros and cons to the situation. Some people don’t want to worry about possible things that could go wrong and don’t even end up using their camera harness for hiking. Others see that the benefits far outweigh the cons which means that they will still use it on their outdoor hiking experiences. Either way, there are pros and cons and the purpose for this blog post is to bring them up to consider.
One pro of taking a camera harness hiking is that you will know where your camera is at all times. After all, if it is not attached to your body, it could easily be left in the car, on the ground, in a backpack, etc. By having it clinging to you, you will undoubtedly know where it is for those photo opp moments.
One con of having it is the envy factor. If you are hiking with others who don’t have it, you could find that you receive jealous comments and snide remarks. Don’t let it bother you. Jealousy is something that mankind will always have to deal with and worry about. It might be a good idea, though, to get one as a gift to your hiking buddies so they won’t be so severe with envy.
Another pro when taking the camera harness hiking is that it will protect your neck from injury unlike those generic camera straps. Those suckers can really cause some pain! You don’t have to worry about that, though, when the weight of the camera rests on your shoulders instead of on your neck. Indeed, there are many pros and cons about the camera harness and taking it hiking.
